One District One Product (ODOP) Awards

The One District One Product Awards (hereinafter, the 'Award') have been instituted by the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Governmentof India, to acknowledge the extraordinary work done by States/ UTs, Districts, and Indian Missions Abroad, for the economic development of the State and contribute towards the realization of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat

Eligibility

a) All States/ UTs, Districts, and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible for the award.

b) The applications will be considered valid for the progress achieved in the promotion of the identified product from the respective district identified under DPIIT’s ODOP initiative only. c) Assessments will be made based on the work done to promote the initiative between 1st April 2023 to 30th April 2024.

No. of Awardees

There will be total of 24 awards, under 3 Heads (States, Districts and Indian Missions Abroad), as follows:

  • 8 awards for States/UTs 
  • 10 awards for Districts
  • 6 awards for Indian Missions Abroad

The above division is tentative and subject to change.

Who can nominate ?

All States/ UTs, Districts, and Indian Missions Abroad are required to self-nominate for the award. 

Selection Process

a) All applications received for the ODOP awards will be placed before a Screening Committee which will shortlist the top applicants.

b) The shortlisted applications will be placed before a Selection Committee which will shortlist an initial set of applicants.

        i) Basis the shortlist, field visits will be conducted to verify the authenticity of applications.

c) Post verification, the Selection Committee will recommend the final set of awardees.

d) The recommended awardees will be approved by the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry. 

Ceremony Details

The awards shall be presented in New Delhi tentatively in the month of December 2024/January 2025
