National Award for Individual Excellence 2025

To recognize and encourage people which are working for the empowerment of persons with disabilities and persons who are suffering from any disability under Right of Persons with Disabilities Act (2016). दिव्यांग  व्यक्तियों के अधिकार अधिनियम (2016) के तहत दिव्यांग  व्यक्तियों और किसी भी दिव्यांगता से पीड़ित व्यक्तियों के सशक्तिकरण के लिए काम करने वाले लोगों को मान्यता देना और प्रोत्साहित करना।

 

Eligibility

(A) For the following categories  of awards any individual having benchmark disability of 40% or more in the category specified in the schedule to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, may nominate himself/herself or can be nominated by other person for any one category of Awards as given below provided that he/she is not a recipient of any of the National Awards by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities during the past five years:-

(i) Sarvahresth Divyangjan (Most Outstanding Persons with Disabilities) (above age of 18 years)

(ii) Shresth Divyangjan (Outstanding Persons with Disabilities) (above age of 18 years)

The following are the subcategories and different type of disability:

a) Locomotor Disability

b) Visual Impairment

c) Hearing Impairment

d ) Intellectual Disability

e) Any specified Disability which is not mentioned above

(iii) Shresth Srijansheel Divyang Bal/Balika (Outstanding Creative Child with Disabilities-Male/Female) (upto age of 18 years)

(B) For the following categories  of awards any individual including any person with disability may nominate himself/herself or can be nominated by other person for any one Category of Awards given below provided he/she has not been a recipient of any of the National Awards of the D/o Empowerment Persons With Disabilities during the past 5 years:-

(iv) Divyangjano Ke Sashaktikaran Ke Liye Karyarat  Sarvshresth Vyakti (Most Outstanding Person working for the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities)

(v) Divyangata Ke Kshetra Mein Karyarat Sarvshresth Punarvas Peshewar/Personnel (Most Outstanding rehabilitation professional /personnel working in the field of disability)

(vi) Divyangata Ke Kshetra Mein Sarvshresth Anusandhan/ Navpravartan /Utpad Vikas (Most Outstanding Research/Innovation/Product Development in the field of Disability)

 

(अ) पुरस्कारों की निम्नलिखित श्रेणियों के लिए दिव्यांगजन अधिकार अधिनियम, 2016 की अनुसूची में निर्दिष्ट श्रेणी में 40% या उससे अधिक बेंचमार्क दिव्यांगता वाला कोई भी व्यक्ति स्वयं को नामांकित कर सकता है या किसी अन्य व्यक्ति द्वारा नीचे दिए गए पुरस्कारों की किसी भी एक श्रेणी के लिए नामांकित किया जा सकता है, बशर्ते कि वह पिछले पांच वर्षों के दौरान दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण विभाग द्वारा किसी भी राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार का प्राप्तकर्ता न रहा हो: -

(i) सर्वश्रेष्ठ दिव्यांगजन (18 वर्ष से अधिक )

(ii) श्रेष्ठ  दिव्यांगजन (18 वर्ष से अधिक) - निम्नलिखित उप श्रेणियाँ और दिव्यांगता  के विभिन्न प्रकार हैं:

a) लोकोमोटर दिव्यांगता

b) दृष्टि बाधित

c) श्रवण बाधित

d) बौद्धिक दिव्यांगता

e) कोई निर्दिष्ट दिव्यांगता जिसका उल्लेख ऊपर नहीं किया गया है

(iii) श्रेष्ठ सृजनशील दिव्यांग बाल / बालिका (18 वर्ष की आयु तक के दिव्यांग  बच्चे)

(ब) नीचे दी गई पुरस्कारों की निम्नलिखित श्रेणियों के लिए कोई भी व्यक्ति, जिसमें कोई दिव्यांग व्यक्ति भी शामिल है, स्वयं को नामांकित कर सकता है अथवा किसी अन्य व्यक्ति द्वारा नीचे दी गई पुरस्कारों की किसी भी एक श्रेणी के लिए नामांकित किया जा सकता है, बशर्ते कि वह पिछले 5 वर्षों के दौरान दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण विभाग के किसी भी राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार का प्राप्तकर्ता न रहा हो:-

(iv) दिव्यांगजनों के सशक्तीकरण के लिए कार्यरत सर्वश्रेष्ठ व्यक्ति

(v) दिव्यांगता के क्षेत्र में कार्यरत सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुनर्वास पेशेवर/कार्मिक

(vi) दिव्यांगता के   क्षेत्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ अनुसंधान/नवप्रवर्तन/उत्पाद विकास

 

Decoration

(i) Sarvahresth Divyangjan (Most Outstanding Persons with Disabilities) - A Certificate, a medal and Cash component of Award : Rs. 2.00 lakh to each awardee

(ii) Shresth Divyangjan (Outstanding Persons with Disabilities) - A Certificate, a medal and Cash component of Award : Rs.1.00 lakh to each awardee

(iii) Shresth Srijansheel Divyang Bal/Balika (Outstanding Creative Child with Disabilities-Male/Female) - A Certificate, a medal and Cash component of Award : Rs.1.00 lakh to each awardee

(iv) Divyangjano Ke Sashaktikaran Ke Liye Karyarat  Sarvshresth Vyakti (Most Outstanding Person working for the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities) - A Certificate, a medal and cash component of Award: Rs.1.00 lakh to each awardee

(v) Divyangata Ke Kshetra Mein Karyarat Sarvshresth Punarvas Peshewar/Personnel (Most Outstanding rehabilitation professional /personnel working in the field of disability) - A Certificate, a medal and cash component of Award: Rs.1.00 lakh to each awardee

(vi) Divyangata Ke Kshetra Mein Sarvshresth Anusandhan/ Navpravartan /Utpad Vikas (Most Outstanding Research/Innovation/Product Development in the field of Disability) - A Certificate, a medal and cash component of Award : Rs.1.00 lakh to each awardee

 

(i) सर्वश्रेष्ठ दिव्यांगजन  - पुरस्कार का नकद घटक: प्रत्येक के लिए 2.00 लाख  रुपये, पदक, प्रमाण पत्र

(ii) श्रेष्ठ  दिव्यांगजन - पुरस्कार का नकद घटक: प्रत्येक के लिए 01 .00 लाख  रुपये, पदक, प्रमाण पत्र

(iii) श्रेष्ठ सृजनशील दिव्यांग बाल / बालिका - पुरस्कार का नकद घटक: प्रत्येक के लिए 01 .00 लाख  रुपये, पदक, प्रमाण पत्र

(iv) दिव्यांगजनों के सशक्तिकरण के लिए कार्यरत सर्वश्रेष्ठ व्यक्ति - पुरस्कार का नकद घटक: प्रत्येक के लिए 01 .00 लाख  रुपये, पदक, प्रमाण पत्र

(v) दिव्यांगता के क्षेत्र में कार्यरत सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुनर्वास पेशेवर/कार्मिक) - पुरस्कार का नकद घटक: प्रत्येक के लिए 01 .00 लाख  रुपये, पदक, प्रमाण पत्र

(vi) दिव्यांगता के क्षेत्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ अनुसंधान/नवप्रवर्तन/उत्पाद विकास - पुरस्कार का नकद घटक: प्रत्येक के लिए 01 .00 लाख  रुपये, पदक, प्रमाण पत्र

(ii) Shresth Divyangjan (Outstanding Persons with Disabilities) : 10 Awards (05 for male and 05 for female)

(iii) Shresth Srijansheel Divyang Bal/Balika (Outstanding Creative Child with Disabilities-Male/Female) : 2 Awards (01 for male child and 01 for female child)

(iv) Divyangjano Ke Sashaktikaran Ke Liye Karyarat  Sarvshresth Vyakti (Most Outstanding Person working for the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities) : 1 Award

(v) Divyangata Ke Kshetra Mein Karyarat Sarvshresth Punarvas Peshewar/Personnel (Most Outstanding rehabilitation professional /personnel working in the field of disability) : 1 Award

(vi) Divyangata Ke Kshetra Mein Sarvshresth Anusandhan/ Navpravartan /Utpad Vikas (Most Outstanding Research/Innovation/Product Development in the field of Disability) : 1 Award

The National Selection Committee may recommend 3 additional awards in any category/sub-category of awards  in Individual Excellence or in Institutional Empowerment category.

 

(i) सर्वश्रेष्ठ दिव्यांगजन : 6 (पुरुष के लिए 3 और महिला के लिए 3)

(ii) श्रेष्ठ  दिव्यांगजन : 10 (प्रत्येक श्रेणी में पुरुष के लिए 1 और महिला के  लिए 1)  

(iii) श्रेष्ठ सृजनशील दिव्यांग बाल / बालिका : 2 (बालक और  बालिका  प्रत्येक के लिए 1)

(iv) दिव्यांगजनों के सशक्तिकरण  के लिए कार्यरत सर्वश्रेष्ठ व्यक्ति : एक पुरस्कार

(v) दिव्यांगता के क्षेत्र में कार्यरत सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुनर्वास पेशेवर/कार्मिक :  एक पुरस्कार

(vi) दिव्यांगता के   क्षेत्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ अनुसंधान/नवप्रवर्तन/उत्पाद विकास : एक पुरस्कार

राष्ट्रीय चयन समिति पुरस्कारों की किसी भी श्रेणी/उप-श्रेणी, अर्थात व्यक्तिगत उत्कृष्टता या संस्थागत सशक्तिकरण श्रेणी में में 3 अतिरिक्त पुरस्कारों की सिफारिश कर सकती है

Who can nominate ?

Any individual who is eligible may nominate himself/herself or on his/her behalf or on his/her Guardian/Family member, or can be nominated by any other person with which he/she is associated.

कोई भी पात्र व्यक्ति स्वयं या अपनी ओर से या अपने अभिवावक /परिवार के सदस्य, जिसके साथ वह जुड़ा हुआ है, को नामांकित कर सकता है।

 

Selection Process

The selection of the awardees shall be made on the basis of recommendations of the Screening Committees by the National Selection Committee. 

पुरस्कार विजेताओं का चयन राष्ट्रीय चयन समिति द्वारा स्क्रीनिंग समितियों की सिफारिशों के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

 

Ceremony Details

The ceremony will be presented in New Delhi on 3 ^rd December, every year which has been declared as the “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”.

यह समारोह हर साल 3 दिसंबर को नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया जाएगा, जिसे “अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिव्यांग  दिवस” के रूप में घोषित किया गया है।
