National Technical Teacher's Award 2022(Discontinued)
The scheme is introduced for identifying the extraordinary teachers and recognize the excellence / best practices / innovativeness of such teachers in field of technical education at national level for Degree, Diploma institutions, Pharmacy and Management Institutions.
This scheme is aimed to recognize the meritorious faculties on Teacher’s Day i.e., 5 September every year at National level and encourage themto update themselves to the ever-changing needs of higher education at global level and thereby becoming an effective contributor towards the society.
National Technical Teacher’s Award is divided in following categories:
1.Award for Engineering/ Technical faculty members
2.Award for Management faculty members
Eligibility
1. Regular teachers/ faculties working in AICTE approved Degree level and Polytechnic institutions.
2. Applicants upper age limit for faculties to be nominated for award is as follows-
(a) Assistant Prof and lecturers - not beyond 40 years of age
(b) Associate Prof /HOD Polytechnic- not beyond 50 years of age
(c) Professor/Principal Polytechnic /Dean/Director- not beyond 60 years of age as on the last date for application.
(d) Faculty members/persons with disability (PwD).
3. Maximum 1 nomination per institute per year would be considered in category of awards mention in point (a) of 1.2 each. Example : xyz institute can nominate 1 person for Teachers Award for Engineering/ Technical ,1 person for Award for Management faculty and 1person for Teachers Award for Engineering/ Technical for Persons with disability(PwD)
4. Previous award winners are not eligible for the current year.

Who can nominate ?
Nominations are invited from faculty members from all AICTE approved Institutes/Deemed to be University across the nation.
Selection Process
The proposal shall be assessed by an Expert Committee constituted as follows:
1. The expert committee consisting of minimum three-members not below the rank of Senior Professor will be constituted for each year.
2. The selection of meritorious teachers from AICTE approved institutions for this award duly recommended by the respective head of institutes will be carried out through a rigorous screening having the following parameters for Award for Engineering/ Technical faculty members and Award for Engineering/ Technical for Persons with disability, ( PwD)
Ceremony Details
The Ceremony is held on 5th September every year.
